The Explosion-Proof Overhead Crane is engineered for material handling in hazardous environments where flammable gases, vapors, or combustible dust are present — such as chemical plants, oil refineries, paint shops, and grain processing facilities. Every electrical and mechanical component is designed to prevent ignition sources, meeting the relevant explosion-proof zone classification for the application.

Structure Composition

  • Main Girder: Single or double girder structure (selected based on required capacity and span), identical in basic form to a standard overhead crane girder.
  • Explosion-Proof Motors and Electrical Enclosures: All motors, control panels, and junction boxes are sealed and rated to the required explosion-proof standard (e.g., Ex d, Ex e, depending on zone classification).
  • Non-Sparking Components: Wheels, brake linings, and other components prone to friction are manufactured from non-sparking materials where required by the hazard zone.
  • Anti-Static Provisions: Grounding and bonding systems to dissipate static charge buildup during operation.
  • Control System: Explosion-proof pendant or remote control, avoiding any exposed sparking contacts in the hazardous area.
