General purpose overhead crane
LD Type Single Girder Overhead Crane

Product Overview
The LD Type Single Girder Overhead Crane is a general-purpose bridge crane designed to run on an elevated runway fixed to the building’s columns or a dedicated steel structure. Pairing a single rolled I-beam or box-type girder with an electric wire rope hoist, it is one of the most widely used crane types for indoor material handling in workshops, warehouses, and light industrial plants.
Structure Composition
- Main Girder: A single rolled I-beam or welded box-type girder spans between the two end trucks.
- End Trucks: Carry the wheel assemblies that run on the runway rails fixed above the workshop floor.
- Electric Hoist: A CD1, MD1, or European-style wire rope hoist travels along the bottom flange of the main girder, providing the lifting motion.
- Long Travel Mechanism: Drives the bridge along the runway, either with a centralized drive or independent motors on each end truck.
- Control: Pendant control is standard; cab or remote control is available for larger spans or higher-duty applications.
- Electrical System: Conductor rail or festoon cable power supply with full motor and circuit protection.
Application
- General manufacturing and assembly workshops
- Warehouses and logistics centers
- Machine shops and maintenance bays
- Light industrial production lines requiring routine, intermittent lifting
Key Features
- Lightweight structure minimizes runway beam and building loading compared to double girder designs
- Low headroom hoist trolley option maximizes usable lifting height under a limited building clearance
- Simple, low-cost installation with minimal moving parts to maintain
- Well suited to intermittent duty, general workshop lifting rather than continuous heavy-cycle operation
Technical Parameters (Reference Range)
Lifting Capacity: 0.5–20 t
Span: 6–22 m
Lifting Height: 6–18 m
Working Class: A3, A4
Control Mode: Pendant, cab, or remote control
Safety Devices
Overload limiter, hoist upper/lower limit switch, bridge travel limit switches, emergency stop button, buffer stops at both ends of the runway.
Customization Options
Low-headroom or standard trolley configuration, single or double-speed hoist, span and lifting height to match building dimensions, and indoor/outdoor rated electrical components.
